Alex is a Legal Manager with Baxendale Employee Ownership and advises on all legal aspects of an employee ownership transition.
Before joining the Baxendale Employee Ownership team, Alex worked as a corporate solicitor in Glasgow advising a range of clients on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions as well as commercial contracts more generally.
Alex’s passion for employee ownership developed after being involved in one of Scotland’s largest employee ownership transitions. He believes that employee owned businesses foster a greater sense of community, collaboration, trust and accountability – both internally and externally. He is especially proud to have joined Baxendale Employee Ownership; an employee owned company whose values align with his own.
In his spare time, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors with his running and cycling clubs in Glasgow.

Cristín is a Senior Legal Manager with Baxendale Ownership and advises on the legal aspects of companies transitioning into employee ownership. Cristín specialises in governance and ownership structures for employee-owned organisation.
Prior to joining Baxendale Employee Ownership, Cristín worked as a corporate lawyer at an international law firm and as in-house commercial counsel at a Canadian software company. Cristín is passionate about using her legal experience to enable companies transition into employee ownership as she believes that employee ownership is a stable long-term solution to ownership succession, allowing companies to better engage their employees and give employees a greater say in the businesses they work in.

Emily is an employee ownership consultant and Senior Manager with Baxendale. Emily advises businesses exploring and transitioning into employee ownership, and supports employee owned businesses post-transition.
In a previous role as a Director of an SME manufacturing business, Emily project-managed their move into employee ownership via an Employee Ownership Trust. The move allowed their founder to exit on his own terms and the business to retain its unique ethos and remain in the area in which it was founded. Inspired by what she had learned about employee ownership, Emily then went on to join the Board of the Employee Ownership Association, working with many other EO businesses and acting as an advocate for employee ownership with businesses, advisers and government.
Emily has experienced employee ownership at work in businesses of all sizes, across all sectors and with many varied ownership structures. Her experience in the sector enables her to advise on approaches to employee ownership to fit each business and to provide valuable insight into the ways that employee owned businesses can operate in practice.

Ewan is a Director at Baxendale Employee Ownership and advises our clients on all aspects of employee ownership. Ewan specialises in transition, governance and ownership structures for employee-owned organisations and social enterprises, and in supporting employee-owned organisations post-transition.
Ewan has been advising on employee ownership since 2003 and has worked with dozens of employee-owned organisations. Ewan began his career as a corporate law solicitor advising on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ownership and governance. Through this work, Ewan began working with Baxi Partnership – the employee-owned company that ultimately founded Baxendale Employee Ownership.
Ewan remains a solicitor and holds a number of trustee / trustee director posts with employee-owned organisations and is regularly asked to speak at employee ownership events across the UK.

Hannah is a Manager and Employee Ownership Consultant with Baxendale Employee Ownership. Hannah works with a wide range of business owners across the UK addressing their ownership succession via employee ownership.
Hannah is passionate about employee ownership; prior to joining Baxendale Employee Ownership in 2023, Hannah spent 7 years working at the Employee Ownership Association (eoa). She is well connected within the employee ownership community and draws upon her deep knowledge and experience to help address the needs of our clients.

Lindsay is a Legal Manager at Baxendale Employee Ownership and advises our clients on all aspects of employee ownership.
Lindsay recently joined the Baxendale Employee Ownership team and is uniquely dual qualified as a Lawyer and an Associate Chartered Secretary. Lindsay specialises in corporate restructuring pre transitions and governance structures for employee-owned businesses including supporting/updating any employee-owned organisations post transition. Lindsay can also provide additional ancillary services as part of transitioning to employee ownership such as corporate restructurings, company secretarial ‘housekeeping’ and commercial contract reviews.

Louise is an employee ownership consultant and Senior Legal Manager with Baxendale, and an enthusiastic advocate and adviser for EO generally across the UK. Since joining the partnership in 2018, Louise has helped a variety of businesses secure the future ownership of their organisation with a transition to employee ownership. These businesses share the desire to enable employees to build on the legacy created by the founder or founder team and to give employees a voice in the future direction of the business and a stake in the profits they help to create.
Louise has worked with businesses that have small, close-knit teams and those with over 100 employees based across the UK. She has helped structure and implement transitions for businesses in the professional services sector, care for the elderly, executive search and the technology sector, among others. Louise’s background as a corporate lawyer and family business consultant enables her to create succession solutions that are right for each individual business – whether that’s enabling the transfer of 100% of the shares to an employee ownership trust, creating tax efficient employee share schemes or structuring the transition to allow founders to retain a minority shareholding in the business.
Louise has become an employee owner at Baxendale for the first time, and having experienced the many benefits of employee ownership she is passionate about helping others to do the same.
Finance, Cloud Systems, HR, Administration & Data
Nicola is Baxendale Employee Ownership’s Finance and Office Manager. She is responsible for the smooth running of the internal finance function, and the production of the management accounts and reports. She supports the team and oversees the HR processes and office management.
Nicola has worked in finance and cloud system roles for a variety of large and small commercial businesses, accountancy practices and within the charity sector. She enjoys contributing time to charities and is passionate about employee ownership and positive change.

Simon is an employee ownership consultant and Senior Manager, primarily helping clients on their journey from exploring to transitioning into employee ownership. He is passionate about supporting Employee Ownership in the UK as a succession solution, and as a vehicle for positive societal change. Since joining Baxendale in 2018, Simon has supported dozens of businesses of various sizes in their transitions to become Employee Owned.
Simon graduated with an MA in International Relations from the University of Exeter, where he studied on a Commonwealth scholarship.
