What it means
Every year, B Lab compiles a list of companies that have scored in the top 10% of B Corps of their size within the entire global community. At Baxendale, we place our employees (who are all partners in an employee owned business) at the heart of all we do. We attract people to our team who want to do meaningful work that has a significant positive impact for clients, employees and the communities we work in. Our culture of being employee-led and impact driven has a natural synergy with B Lab’s values. Scoring as Best for the World: Workers underlines our commitment to our own team, as well as reinforces the work we do to help other organisations create the right environments in which their workers can thrive and their businesses can grow.

The assessment
The B Impact Assessment that all B Corps complete looks at several key areas of a business. The ‘Workers’ section measures how the company treats workers through compensation, benefits, training and ownership opportunities as well as evaluating the overall work environment by assessing manager/worker communication, job flexibility, corporate culture and health & safety practices.
