Our friends at the Employee Ownership Association want you to reward your people power, and we at Baxendale couldn’t agree more! An EO Award is a fantastic achievement…
Baxendale believes in people power. That’s why we continue to sponsor the Employee Ownership Awards, run by the EOA. In fact, Baxendale actually started the awards, back in 2006. This year the award winners will be announced at the EOA Annual Conference, taking place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham on the 18th & 19th November. For many, the EOA Conference is the most important date in the EO calendar, and hundreds come to discuss, progress and learn about EO.
And the Award ceremony is the glamorous highlight.
One of the reasons we continue to be the award sponsors is that we know employee ownership really does translate to excellent outcomes for businesses and communities, and want the sector to sing its achievements loudly. Hearing about your successes helps the sector learn from each other, collectively grow, and raise its voice.
The EOA’s Reasons to enter…
Acknowledge – taking time to appraise and write about how the people who make up your business have worked together to achieve gives you a new perspective of the year’s successes. Appraising your efforts and reflecting can add value whether you win or not.
Credibility – being acknowledged for your people powered performance and EO excellence is a third party endorsement of your EO attributes that contribute to ‘better business’ – good governance and culture, engaged employees, improved productivity and profit with purpose.
Differentiate – as one of 350 businesses in the UK that is employee owned you are an early adopter at a time when the sector is really starting to take off. By demonstrating your people powered business excellence you are truly setting your business apart.
Recognition – rewarding what you have created together not only shows confidence by celebrating your combined efforts internally, but also helps your people powered excellence to shine externally as a good news story to share with your stakeholders.
Together we can help the sector realise its people power
