In addition to creating Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs), we also advise on and implement employee share schemes for direct share ownership. These are often introduced alongside an EOT, creating a hybrid ownership structure, where direct ownership of shares by employees sits alongside the EOT. The EOT provides secure long term ownership and a potential future buyer for those shares directly owned by the employees.
There are a number of tax efficient share schemes that can be used, including Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) schemes for companies with less than 250 employees; Company Share Option Plans (CSOP) schemes for companies with greater than 250 employees; and all employee Share Incentive Plans (SIPs).
